First Nations & Inuit Youth Employment Strategy : The Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP)

Program Summary

To prepare First Nation secondary and post-secondary students for future entry into labor market by facilitating access to summer employment.

Eligible Participants

• Residents on reserve or in recognized communities or on community lands
• Individuals legally entitled to work in Canada
• Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and who intend to return to school on a full-time basis the next academic year.
